An Indian Enchanted Night

I attended my cousin’s engagement party few nights ago, where I decided to go for an Indian inspired look. It was a ready-made dress I bought from a local store. I don’t know much about Indian clothing, however, the fact that it is colourful and beaded, got me interested in finding out more about it. the outfit consists of three pieces, a tunic top( short dress), tight pants, and a sheer scarf. According to my research this outfit is worn by the women of Punjab in India.
The a shape tunic dress  is made by different materials, the ¾ sleeves are lace, with a velvet wrist, which has a golden embroidery decorating it. I love the details on the tonic top, and the design of the crystals. I can tell a lot of work was put into making such a beautiful piece. The sheer layer that enhances the A shapeness of the top is also hand embroided.
The pants are plain and fitted allowing the attention to be on the fully detailed top. Also, I have come to know that since the pants are plain, they are  usually decorated with some jewellery worn around the ankles.
The scarf is a sheer piece, with crystal and beads around the edges.
The Indian jewellery is another interesting part of the outfit, I wore a set that consists of a necklaces, a pair of earrings, and head piece that dangles on the forehead. The earrings are also an exceptional piece, as it comes with an extended chain to decorate the side of the hair.
I also wore a pair of thick golden bangles, also Indian themed. And I finished the look with a pair of golden sandals.
The intimate family gathering, the happiness in my cousin’s eyes, the music and all of the dancing made that night exceptional.
I felt very enchanted with a completely new look, a look full of rich fabric, crystals and colours  It was definitely the right look for such a beautiful evening.
